ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY


BALL  STATE UNIVERSITY 


MUNCIE, INDIANA 


 


 


Tenure-track position in analytical chemistry or related cross-disciplinary area available August 19, 2010. 


Responsibilities: 


Teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in preferred discipline as well as teaching general chemistry; developing an active research program in an area that complements the department’s existing research programs and involves undergraduate and graduate students. 




Requirements

Minimum qualifications:


Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related area by August 19, 2010; evidence of potential for excellence in teaching; evidence of potential for excellence in research.  


Preferred qualifications: 


Postdoctoral research experience; teaching experience at the collegiate level (e.g., teaching assistant, instructor, assistant professor); research interests that focus on an area which complements the department’s existing research programs.  Excellent benefits, including 100% pension contribution and retiree health care for eligible employees.
