Capital Projects at the Whiting Refinery are managed and executed by the Engineering Projects group. Multiple contractors are utilized for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the site projects, both capital and expense.
The Manger of Project Services & Controls will report to the Manager of Engineering Projects and will play a key role in providing project control services for engineering and construction to various Project Managers. Services include estimating budgets, cost control & forecasting, change management procedures, cost benchmarking & reporting, project scheduling & progressing, and cost & schedule risk management. Individual projects are managed by BP and Contract Project Managers who have overall accountability for the delivery of capital project elements, achieving best-in-class results in safety and capital productivity for projects in assigned area. All projects follow BP's Capital Value Process (CVP) for execution. Annual capital spend for the site is expected to average around $200m for the next five years for a large portfolio of projects with varying size and complexity that address environmental, sustaining, and growth requirements within the refinery business plan.
The Manager Project Services & Controls is a team leader with contract project cost & scheduling controls personnel reporting to the position.

Requirements |
5 or more years of petrochemical Project Control Management.
10 or more years of experience in the petrochemical industry.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline.
